Today, the cycling world was hit by heartbreaking news that goes far beyond sport. During Stage 8 of the Volta a Portugal, 19-year-old British rider Finlay Tarling of the NSN Development Team tragically lost his life. He was the younger brother of Josh Tarling from the Netcompany INEOS squad.
The entire organizing team of our race extends its deepest condolences to Finlay’s family, his friends, and his teammates at NSN, a team also competing here at the Czech Tour. We will honor Finlay’s memory with a minute’s silence before the start of Saturday’s Stage 3 in Pardubice.
