Czech Tour 2026 is fast approaching, and the organisers are gradually unveiling more teams that will line up for one of Central Europe’s most important stage races following its move to the UCI ProSeries category. The latest announcement for the four stages from 13 to 16 August brings three interesting and diverse squads that promise not only sporting quality, but also strong stories and exciting racing. Fans can look forward to Team Novo Nordisk, Caja Rural–Seguros RGA and Red Bull Bora Rookies.
Each of these teams brings something unique to the peloton. Team Novo Nordisk is widely known for its remarkable mission: it is a professional team made up exclusively of riders living with type 1 diabetes. Their participation in Czech Tour is therefore not only a sporting matter, but also a powerful symbol of determination, discipline and inspiration for thousands of people around the world. The team has repeatedly shown that a medical condition does not have to be a barrier to elite sport. On Czech roads, they will be aiming to feature in breakaways and fight for stage results.
The Spanish outfit Caja Rural–Seguros RGA is one of the established names in European cycling and regularly appears at major races, including the Grand Tours. This year, the team has also received a prestigious reward in the form of an invitation to the Tour de France. Their style is defined by aggressive racing – frequent attacks, attempts to get into breakaways and battles for mountain and sprint points.
At Czech Tour 2026, Caja Rural–Seguros RGA should be among the contenders for the top places in the general classification. They are likely to be especially strong in the hillier stages, where they can make the most of both their experience and team cohesion. Their presence adds further sporting prestige to the race and promises an attractive spectacle for fans along the roadside and in front of TV screens. For Czech supporters, there is also the added appeal of a possible start by Jakub Otruba, who is now in his second year with the Spanish team and is currently part of its wider Tour de France shortlist.
The third newly confirmed team is Red Bull Bora Rookies, a project focused on developing young talents from the WorldTour squad Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe. For many of these riders, Czech Tour will be one of their first major opportunities to show their potential against more experienced rivals. It is expected that the team’s youngsters will bring fresh energy, aggressive racing and a willingness to take risks. At the same time, the line-up could also be strengthened by one of the stars from the elite squad. Race director Leopold König mentioned the name of Giulio Pellizzari. The Italian is currently racing his home Giro and has not yet confirmed his summer programme.
The Czech Tour organisers expect these three teams to bring a significant boost to the start list. The combination of an inspiring story, proven European quality and youthful ambition creates an ideal mix that could have a major impact on the shape of the race. The confirmation of Team Novo Nordisk, Caja Rural–Seguros RGA and Red Bull Bora Rookies is further proof of the growing prestige of the event.
