The premier-class stage race in the Czech Republic, Czech Tour, is entering a new era in 2026. For the first time in its history it will be part of the UCI ProSeries calendar and, from 13–16 August, will welcome top professional teams from all over Europe and overseas. The form of the elite riders will be tested by the toughest course the race has ever seen.
The organisers have now revealed the first confirmed teams. Lining up for the 18th edition of Czech Tour will be WorldTour team NSN (formerly Israel–Premier Tech), as well as ProTeams Bardiani CSF 7 Saber, Burgos Burpellet BH and Solution Tech Nippo Rali. A new American squad, Modern Adventure – linked to former star professional George Hincapie – will also head to the heart of Europe to race.
“Joining the UCI ProSeries is a big step forward for us – and the first confirmed teams show that the peloton will match this new status. We’re delighted that, alongside established European outfits, the new American project Modern Adventure will also be on the start line. For fans it means an even more exciting race, and for us organisers extra motivation to move Czech Tour up another level,” says race director Leopold König.
Czech Tour 2026 will start, just like last year, in Prague, from where the peloton will head across the Czech Republic over four stages. The detailed route will be unveiled in the coming weeks, but the organisers have already flagged major changes and are promising the hardest edition in the race’s history. Once again, the race will combine spectacular city backdrops, rolling terrain and demanding climbs that in recent years have made Czech Tour a showcase for versatile, resilient riders.
More teams will be announced gradually. The organisers’ goal is to assemble a start list that brings together elite WorldTour outfits and strong ProTeams, complemented by a selection of the best Continental squads. Even as part of the UCI ProSeries, Czech Tour aims to reaffirm its status as the premier professional road race on Czech roads.
